Hyangwonjeong at Gyeonbokgung Palace

The Hyangwonjeong is one of the most picturesque locations at Gyeonbokgung Palace. The spot in front of the bridge is often crowded with folks in hanbok posing for that perfect picture. The Yeolsangjinwon spring that feeds the pond is intentionally forced down a channel with multiple turns to limit the force of the water entering the pond and enable a mirror-like surface. This effort can be defeated by a strong wind, however, as seen in this picture. The National Folk Museum of Korea is visible in the background as the multi-story pagoda structure.
