Looking east on the grounds of Deoksugung Palace in 2001. I'm standing outside Jeukjodang (it is on the left side of the picture). The 2-story, unpainted Seogeodang is behind and on the right side of the picture. This particular photograph was captured using a 110 film cartridge in a single use camera, hence it suffers from some inherent limitations. Seoul seems to change every time you blink, but these palace buildings are still standing. As of 2018, the grounds clearly show that effort has been expended on the ongoing maintenance of the buildings and landscaping of the grounds.
