Bicycle Ramps between Ground Level and Underground Garage at Hakata Station

To the right of these steps is a smooth ramp within a channel that is used to constrain a bicycle's wheels while its owner walks it down to the bike storage lot in the basement. A similar channel is on the left, but it is enhanced to be a powered ramp that pulls a bicycle up and out of the basement to ground level while its owner holds the bicycle upright. For power-savings, the belt only operates when a bike is placed upon it.
