Steam Engine Excursion from the Kyoto Train Museum

Steam Engine Excursion from the Kyoto Train Museum

This area is great for train watching as a plethora of different designs go by, ranging from steam engine excursions running on a siding from the Kyoto Train Museum, to locals, express trains, and shinkansens heading to or coming from Kobe. The C61-2 steam engine is taking museum visitors on a short train ride. It was assembled in 1948 and is one of 4 surviving instances out of the 33 that were deployed.
